Individual Therapy
Life can be difficult at any stage. Sometimes you know something needs to change, but you’re not sure where to start. You may be feeling anxious or overwhelmed, struggling in a relationship, or finding that past experiences continue to affect how you feel today.
Individual therapy provides a supportive, confidential space to slow things down, better understand what you’re experiencing, and work towards meaningful change.
What to Expect
Our work together will be shaped by your priorities and what you’d like to work on. We’ll talk about what’s bringing you to therapy, what you’d like to be different, and what might help you move forward.
My approach is practical and compassionate. I want you to feel understood and accepted as we work towards your goals. Clients often tell me they appreciate having a space where they can talk openly about difficult thoughts and experiences without feeling judged.
You don’t need to have everything figured out before you begin. Some people have a specific concern they want to address, while others aren’t quite sure what needs to change. We’ll start wherever you are.
Individual Therapy May Be Helpful If You’re Experiencing:
Anxiety, worry, or social anxiety
Depression, low mood, or loss of motivation
Stress, overwhelm, or feeling burnt out
Low self-esteem or being overly hard on yourself
Difficulty setting or maintaining healthy boundaries
Relationship difficulties or changes
Grief and loss, including anticipatory grief
Caregiver stress and burnout
A significant life transition or change
Questions about identity, purpose, or what comes next
Difficult past experiences that continue to affect the present
Changes in work, family, relationships, or other areas of life
A desire to feel more confident, connected, or in control of your life
Support Through Life’s Transitions
Life changes over time, and sometimes those changes bring challenges we didn’t expect. You may be navigating changes in work or family, adjusting to a relationship change, becoming a caregiver, experiencing loss, or simply questioning whether the life you’re living still feels right for you.
I work with adults at different stages of life and have particular experience supporting people through midlife and later-life transitions. Whatever stage you’re in, therapy can provide a place to step back, make sense of what’s happening, and consider what you want moving forward.
You don’t have to work through it alone.

I’m trained in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Narrative Therapy. I have additional trainings in trauma-informed approaches and neurodiversity support.
These approaches offer different ways of understanding thoughts, emotions, and the experiences that shape who you are. We’ll use the approaches that best fit your needs.
My approach is client-centered. I believe therapy works best when you feel understood and respected as you work towards your goals.

You are always free to share as much or as little as you feel comfortable with. Some people prefer to focus on a single concern, while others find it helpful to use therapy as a confidential space to explore a range of issues.
We will also regularly check in on how you’re doing and reflect on the progress you’ve been making in previous sessions. This helps ensure you’re getting the most from our time together, that sessions feel purposeful and productive, and that our work remains focused on your needs.

Therapy is confidential, meaning that what we discuss stays between us.
There are a small number of exceptions to confidentiality, all of which are in place to protect your safety and the safety of others. These limits will be clearly explained and discussed with you so that you feel informed and comfortable.
Therapy is intended to be a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space where you can talk openly about your concerns at your own pace.
