About Me
I’ve spent over 20 years experience supporting people through various social challenges, including extensive experience in geriatrics and caregiving. I also have lived experience as a caregiver for family members throughout their aging and palliative care journeys.
My approach is gentle, practical, and down-to-earth — helping you build confidence, manage self-doubt, and feel more at ease. Many clients often tell me they find me to be very non-judgmental and they feel comfortable they feel talking with me. This is what I hope to create with you.
On a personal note, I’m married with three children and one dog. I love quiet moments with a cup of coffee and a great book. I understand what it’s like to face life’s hard seasons, and I believe everyone deserves a safe, calm space to be heard without judgment.
Certifications:
I have advanced training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), with a focus on the treatment of mood and anxiety disorders. I also have additional certifications in ADHD, couples therapy, and trauma-focused therapy.
When trauma-related symptoms are present, I incorporate Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and Trauma-Focused ACT to support clients in both processing difficult emotions and building a greater sense of control over their present circumstances.
For couples and relationship work, I have certifications in both the Gottman Method and Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFT). These approaches both aim to strengthen communication, deepen emotional connection, and help partners navigate conflict more effectively.
